After much anticipation and rumors, Samsung finally reveals "The Next Galaxy" at their Samsung Unpacked event. No surprises, "The Next Galaxy" is indeed called the Samsung Galaxy S III. There is nothing truly revolutionary about the Galaxy S III, but it is still a very powerful smartphone. The design is evolutionary. It's a thinner smartphone with rounded corners. In a way, it is more of an evolution of the Galaxy Nexus then it is of the Galaxy S II. The Samsung Galaxy S III is powered by a quad core Samsung Exynos processor (International versions) running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with a 4.8" HD Super AMOLED Display and measures 136.6 mm X 70.6. It is an amazing 8.6mm thin and weighs 133g. The smartphone features a 1.9 MP front camera and a 8MP rear camera. While some may be disappointed because rumors stated that it would be 12MP, they should not be because high megapixel count does not equate better pictures. Unlike HTC's One X, the Samsung Galaxy S III has a replaceable battery and is rated at 2,100 mAh. Samsung says that "the new Galaxy S III will be available from the end of May in Europe" and then to other markets around the world.
