State Farm Discovers More Internet Usage Behind The Wheel Compared To Previous Years

BLOOMINGTON, Ill.  -- State Farm releases results of its fourth annual distracted driver survey.  The results are troubling as there seems to be an upward trend towards using the Internet while driving.  In July 2012, State Farm's Strategic Resources Department conducted a survey of people ages 18 and up.  State Farm says that they receive one thousand responses every year.   In the 18-29 category, there was a 19% increase of drivers using the Internet on a cellphone.  In the all age groups category, there was a 8% increase of driver's using the Internet on a cellphone.  This is dangerous and is something drivers should not be doing.  Please practice safe driving as we head into the holidays.  Happy Thanksgiving and please pull over if you really need to use your cellphone.
