Apple Debuts Long Rumored iPad Mini

SAN JOSE - The rumors have been floating around cyberspace for awhile that Apple would make an iPad mini and today it was officially announced. The new iPad mini has a 7.9 inch display with a 1024 x 768 resolution and Apple's dual-core A5 processor. Apple claims that their iPad mini has 35% more display area then competitor's 7 inch tablets. It also features Apple's 1.2 MP FaceTime HD front facing camera and an iSight 5 MP rear camera. Prices are competitive with a 16GB Wi-Fi model coming in at $329 USD to $659 USD for the 64 GB Wi-Fi + Cellular model. The iPad mini with Wi-Fi will come in white or black and will be available November 2nd. Apple did not specify an exact date for Wi-Fi plus Cellular models.
