Samsung Galaxy Note II Revealed At IFA 2012

If you thought the Samsung Galaxy Note was too big, then you haven't seen its successor. The Galaxy Note II was revealed today at the IFA 2012. JK Shin, President of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics, proudly announced the new Galaxy Note II with its 5.5 inch display. Like the original Galaxy Note, the successor also features Samsung's HD Super AMOLED technology. The device is powered by 1.6 Ghz quad-core processor with HSPA Plus or 4G LTE running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The Galaxy Note II features a 8 megapixel rear camera and a 1.9 megapixel front camera, which is the same as the Samsung Galaxy S III. Lasting a full day should not be a problem as the Galaxy Note II has a whopping 3,100 mAh battery. Unlike the HTC OneX which does not have an expansion slot, the Galaxy Note II can handle up to a 64GB microSD expansion card. There are some disappointments with the new Galaxy Note II. The resolution is now 1,280 x 720, but the original was 1,280 x 800. While the difference is negligible it's still a downgrade. While we knew it most likely was not the case, we were still hoping it would be a HD Super AMOLED Plus display with the same or higher resolution. The new Galaxy Note II is an evolution of the original and not the "next big thing" that we were hoping.
